Going out in the world again
in an extremely limited way.
The more people in the bargain
the shorter the time we’ll stay.
I acknowledge I’m very lucky,
graced with love I can cherish.
I’m not sure I could be plucky
seeing the people I love perish.

Once again, what I’ve written
in these plague days crawling
toward a future all will fit in,
no conspiracies, no brawling
tends to darkness not balance.
While searching for my voice.
Speaking in common parlance
dark or light; it is my choice.
