The second month of a new year
And I’m not sure why I feel lost.
It all seems more than I can bear.
To find my way, what will it cost?
What I wanted, is it what I want?
If this is true, tell me why I can’t.
What’s your goal, if you’re me?
I found my path later than some.
More talent than I knew you see.
May work fine in days to come.
Yet I must survive my days now.
Still, the year we have had, pow.
I say to myself I’m doing grand.
What have I to complain about?
Wake each day and then I stand.
As one of the lucky, why shout?
Tell me why I am still depressed.
Perhaps. it’s in what I expressed.
