Election day is here at last
And I know I’m truly ready
To see it past at last. Steady
On, my brain cries, Have
You checked the color of
The skies? All year long,
It’s felt like day is really
Night. Hatred, pandemic,
Division ruling our time.
That slime, in every talk
On our mind. It might, it
Does, make me wish for
Literal 20/20 hindsight.
