Peace is Purpose, Nonviolence is Strength,  Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment

Could it be
the time has come
to turn away
from danger,
false gods,
snake oil sellers,
dream purveyors,
tall, dark strangers
offering magic
beans and rhymes,
promising the moon?
Without regard,
bartering shares,
mythic bridges,
unicorns, porn,
war, sex,
Pain and death,
your last breath.

Inhale, but
Never let it
get out.
Look through
your eyelids
and shout,
no end,
no change,
everything, nothing,
different again.
One try,
say hello, goodbye.
Something special,
something dumb,
here’s hoping
you’re not the one.
Could it be,
we’ll never know?
