People Over Politics, World Over Wealth

Can you feel the change of seasons|
despite the heat when rain should fall?
Everything changes the new. Some rise
again and some fall. What will linger?
Is it no more than a brief interlude? An
etude in hopes we learn it. A lesson we
hope we earn. So far, we seem to be
falling, flailing, as if we’re foundering
in deepest waters. Our quarters damp,
disease ridden, within the new, without
the old. Will we come to comprehend
the saving grace of hope and love? Are
we stuck in complex destinations of
our moral iniquities. scattered boards
on turgid, foam-tossed seas, and we
but able to cling upon them desperately.
