The gulls fly above the beach,
reach for the air, the next flap,
the next breath, eye to eye with
other gulls. Pelicans pass, heading
in the opposite direction. I track
them with my eye, as they dive
into the ocean one by one fishers
of the first order, bordering on the
divine, following nature. Sublime
to be in tune. With life all around.
