Water Always Seeks

I remember a time before time
and after climax, when existence
blossomed like Spring bloomed,
fallen leaves die, presage Winter.
I dreamed a land of Summer and
Autumn, growing and quiescent
together. Life bestows opposites
in height and depths of a single
season, If it’s Winter, can Spring
ever be far behind? All creatures
live with the possibility of loss,
sudden or slow; only humans try
hiding it all from themselves. As
if such denial will overcome the
basics of life and death. Given
our foolish foibles, vainglorious
vicissitudes caused by dishonest
and harmful hubris. We’re aware
that rivers flow, rivers dry with
and without rain, wind, gravity.
We seek to sail high, even should
the wax on our wings melt, send
us tumbling from the sky. Aware
water always seeks lowest point.

Peace is Purpose, Nonviolence is Strength,

Unite the World
