Feeding Time ~ Philip Brent Harris

~~~~~

Dark clouds mass on the horizon,
race toward us and gush torrents.
The sky so sad it cries copiously.
Spontaneous, control totally lost.

Remember the lush green Earth,
with its temperate rains, and only
necessary fires. A mere scolding,
lessons to help us grow balanced.

Now, we have anger incandescent.
Blazes which burn bare all beings.
Trees consumed; charred memory
remains. How will we remember?

When the trees are all long gone,
and the birds cease serenading us,
will we toothless predators wander
whining for our loss, all the world?

Diversity is Unity, Empathy is Empowerment

Peace is Purpose, Nonviolence is Strength,

Unite the World
