Reach out your hand until
our fingers touch, intertwine.
Mystic muse, hopeless, sad
and pouring melancholy upon
the masses who await succor.

Standing beneath the clifftop
waiting for the water to fall.
But a distant memory now.
Do you remember the cool,
wet fullness of water’s dance?

We sway like leafless trees and
former flowers—stunted, gone.
We whisper, are a plangent echo.
It spreads across the world and
seeks the hidden, missing people.
