It has been a wild and crazy year;
some of it was bad and some good.
Happy to say, “We’re still here!”
retain a mostly positive attitude.
My wife needed an ablation and
I fell down more times than once.
Like all, struggled with inflation.
Stood up again, with less bounce.
Despite all, we remain standing,
going for walks whenever able.
Dealing with what life’s handing.
Doing our best to still be stable.
My darling made our house, home
while I created art and also wrote.
Views on news and love in poems.
In the end we’re here and afloat.
Minor disasters at home recently
were of memories shattered, lost.
Brought tears, questioned sanity.
Our hearts wondered at what cost.
Our hope’s alive, for you as well.
2022 roads to be straight, smooth.
Care what we do where we dwell.
Hope sick/crazy get weary, move.
