Before After Before

People Over Politics, Survival Over Surrender, World Over Wealth!

Sky Water, Bodega Bay ~ Philip Brent Harris

~~~~~
This is a form I’m calling Cascade. I doubt I invented it, except for me.
If anyone knows, please let me know.
Watching wind-blown trees.
Expecting the storm,
I see the future.
I see the future
Knowing the rain will begin
And that it will end.
And that it will end;
An apt description of life.
What begins will end.
What begins will end.
The most glorious and base.
Knowing this, too, shall pass.
Knowing this, too, shall pass.
And the cosmos will endure
As what it becomes.
As what it becomes.
A future we will recall.
Stardust to star stuff.
Stardust to star stuff.
Whatever gods there may be,
Is it faith or fate?
Is it faith or fate
Or something else entirely?
Those who know don’t say.
Those who know don’t say.
While those who say do not know.
Will you know or say?
