Would you scurry through some dirty alley
Fetid, dark, dank, dangerous and disgusting
Each footfall fraught with threat, don’t dally
Seeking a fabled treasure, long since rusting

All on advice from some wealthy strangers
Following directions you never ask or sought
Magic beans for labor at the money changers
Never quite sure what you’ve sold or bought
