I fill my life with all the truth and beauty
I find as I walk along my way home.
Perhaps it is passing cloud or a pebble,
The changing tides or the seasons.
As innocent as a newborn’s smile.
As bitter as our first rejection.
Our own generosity leaves us open
for hurt that crawls inside, takes root.
Remember to smile each day, no matter
your mood or your circumstances.
Either could change in the next instant.
None are exempt in our only now.
Not to say, we will not do this again.
We’ll likely not remember our before.
If it’s only our atoms repurposed,
rearranged, we’ll live on through this.
If you do not believe me, I understand.
If you do then you will understand.
If what you think, believe is random
or is planned, both will end up right.
