Who are these people who sit and wait,
and what do they anticipate quietly?
They tap feet, ponder their own thoughts
or whisper quite softly, one to another.
There’s magic in the air, though no one
can or will tell me what we are expecting.
I but a stranger who wandered in and sat
down because I saw so many people waiting.
