Emergency, emergency, everybody to clear the streets.
*The cowboys are coming, the cowboys are coming.*
Guns carried openly on the hip or hidden under arm.
They will tell you it is only the bad guys they will harm.
Unless, of course they are the bad guys, that’s only fair.
Cause they might shoot anyone for their gender or hair
Though a child may find a pistol hung up for the night
It’s accidental, so if someone else is shot; that’s all right
If someone else’s children are at risk in a land far away
Do not send them here, ain’t like us; we arrived to stay
They’ll give us their diseases and much worse than that,
if we let them stay, they may grow up to vote democrat.
Grow up healthy, steal our jobs, and also steal our land.
So call me nuts, but, someone here must make a stand.
Insurrectionist vigilantes, snot-nosed kid with an AK-47
will send them to that fiery pit, the opposite of heaven.
Don’t fret, now we have the swagger of wild-west style
Many enemies must be shot and it might take a while
So if we take out more than a few friendlies each day
We think freedom is precious, when you think our way
So watch your back, watch your front, keep ever wary
Invest in Kevlar while there’s time; life will be less scary
Don’t worry you’ll be victim, it happens now and then
If not, you will doubtless live your three score and ten
Live it up, go deep in debt, what do you have to lose?
Reaper perches on your shoulder; you may not refuse.
Still, accidents, heart attacks, other stuff to lay you low.
No matter your side, we don’t need guns to help us go.
Though perhaps this is just how the world always works.
For plague, war, flood, fire around every moment lurks.
I am glad I will be gone long before fascists string us up.
Or they may make us elect to drink hemlock as we sup.
