Do we resurrect heroes from ages lost,
invent them anew, some with souls?
They might tilt only at wind turbines.
Simpler folk, times, yet, more aware.
Gift us magic, hope, light in darkness.
Life is never found without darkness,
nor is death ever found without light.
This we know but hide from ourselves.
Seeking to invent, rediscover, recover,
the awareness with which we’re born.
That we cannot truly express, manifest,
crack the code, which has been woven
into our vision, hiding behind our eyes.
We are not blind but we cannot perceive.
We are not deaf but we cannot receive.
We know life sings to life in all aspects,
expectations, emanations, perturbations.
Smothered by our daily needs and worry,
so sunset and moonrise may be ignored,.
we all go forth on our own sacred quests.
