In Dreams One Night

Himself

Himself By Philip Brent

In my dreams one night I heard such music
Soft and sweet, so simple yet so complete
Never imagined I such music, as I listened
It wafted through me, with lightning force

Aware it spoke to only me, I got so confused
Lost, I wandered, desolate and disconsolate
Our world’s clangorous cacophony unheard
Withint distant suns, still I heard my music

This tune, I realized had dwelt in me always
At times I had heard it, even hummed along
Still, I knew my song belonged to all, always
My task to play my part till harmony comes
